I should be retired from music by now – Rudeboy

Must read

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Paul Okoye, professionally known as Rudeboy has asserted that he and his contemporaries should have retired from music by now.

According to him, back in the day, musicians didn’t stay in the game for too long.

The crooner shared his thoughts during an appearance on the Adesope Live Show, highlighting the challenges of balancing family life with a music career.

While reflecting on the inevitable criticisms and scandals that come with being a top artist, the ‘Reason With Me’ crooner stated; “There’s always a time for everything in life. Things will always happen. If you are a celebrity and you think people will always see you like an angel, trust me you’re not going anywhere. There are times that something would be against you. It’s always like that.

Every top artist has had their share of criticisms and scandals. Even the up-and-coming ones, too, will suffer the same fate someday. It’s a normal thing [in the entertainment industry]. But what matters is your personality and how you handle issues,” he added.
